Basal Cell Skin Cancer on the Face

Basal cell skin cancer on the face is actually pretty common especially in older individuals.  Why?  Our face is exposed to the sun just about every day of our life.  That means the face is exposed to a certain amount of UV radiation on a daily basis.  That daily dose of sunlight can damage the cellular DNA in Basal cells cause them to become malignant.

Basal cell skin cancer is very easy to treat especially if it’s caught early.  If you suspect you have Basal cell skin cancer on your face then get to your dermatologist ASAP and get rid of it before it gets too large (small basal cell carcinoma = a small or non-existent scar).
