Where Does Skin Cancer Occur?

Contrary to popular belief  skin cancer can occur on any part of the body (mostly squamous cell in this case) , however skin cancer usually develops on areas of the skin that are exposed to UV radiation (sunlight or tanning beds).

If you want to minimize the chance of skin cancer forming on exposed areas  (areas exposed to the sun) then you’ll need to apply a sunblock with a high SPF every time you venture outside.  While this may seem like a big inconvenience it may end up saving your life.

So keep in mind that skin cancer can occur anywhere.  Here’s a good article on skin cancer warning signs.
